The Lady with a golden heart
Ninon de Vere De Rosa
“Nothing Happens Without You”
Ninon de Vere De Rosa is prominently known throughout the world and at present in the Los Angeles area as a spokesperson, producer, show host, journalist, investor and philanthropist in connection with her many charitable activities. She is founder and president of KidsTalk Productions, a full-service television production company for fourteen years, KidsTalk Web Site, promoting KidsTalk and our future leader of the world, founder and executive director of KidsTalk Foundation, a global philanthropic organization with offices in, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Kenya Africa. Ninon is also the creator of NinonSpeaks, a national keynote speaker, motivational speaker for woman, bringing men back to being men again, and her passion for years, giving the younger generation a voice in society. She is also the president of her own real-estate Investment and Development Company, NDD Properties, LLC.
Originating from England and born into a sizable family, Ninon was privately educated and raised in prestigious Devon England. Ninon left home at the age of sixteen years old with only three pounds in her pocket to start her own career. She began working at a boutique hotel in Torquay Devon, where Ninon eventually became a manager… Yes! At sixteen… After a year’s work of twenty hour days, she made enough money and moved to London, where she began her own career in modeling, print, commercials and acting. There was no stopping this determined young lady of British decent.
While in London, Ninon worked her craft on many high end runways, in multiple magazines, Harrods, Queen Magazine, London, Paris, Beirut, Jamaica, Miami and Los Angeles.
Also while in London, Ninon met Charley Henches, a renowned Russian producer who was also responsible for “discovering” Ninon de Vere (professional name). Ninon proceeded to journey to Beirut, Lebanon, where she performed her own underwater swimming act as one of the stars of the extravaganza show “Mai Oui” hosted by the Casino de Lebanon, produced by Charley Henches. This opportunity led this budding young talent to and abundance of film work, print and modeling in Beirut and all over Europe.
Ninon’s career continued throughout Europe and the Caribbean and finally landed the determined young entrepreneur in Miami Florida. While in the United States Ninon landed scores of movie rolls, notably “The Grove” in which she had the pleasure of practicing her craft with Rita Hayworth, who was starred in what became one of her last movies.
After achieving her goals in Miami, Ninon made her way to Sunny California and met James De Rosa and got married. One of Ninon’s great lines was when she got married to James , she married two ex wives and six step children, this was quite a challenge, but all worth it, a great man. He passed away in February 2004.
It was in Los Angeles that Ninon met with legendary filmmaker Hal Roach and became acquaintances. The friendship with Hal was an additional inspiration to Ninon’s already outgoing personality to achieve greatness. It also resulted in a special project that took Ninon into the world of philanthropy and community service. In 1987, Ninon and her husband James De Rosa founded “The Hal Roach Awards” for the College of Communications and Fine Arts at Loyola Marymount University. Honorees included Hal Roach, Ralph Bellamy, Bob Hope, Henry Mancini, Audrey Hepburn, Robert Wise and Robert Wrights (CEO of NBC). After a successful run with the awards, Ninon became director of the Fine Arts Council for Loyola Marymount University; Ninon accepted the presidency and chairwomanship of “The Associates” which raised money for “The House Ear Institute.” Dr. Howard P. House and communications director for LA5 Rotary
In hopes of expanding the traditional twenty-four hour day, Ninon’s work developed into the development of a unique youth-focused television production that gives young people a genuine voice in our multicultural and constantly changing society. It was then that KidsTalk, Voices of Tomorrow was born in 1996. Having produced over 400 shows and celebrating its fourteenth year of production, the highly acclaimed KidsTalk, Voices of Tomorrow TV show is now nationally known with 102 awards and distribution in Europe, broadcasted on TV as a talk show for teens in Los Angeles. As a result of her success, she wanted to give back to the community on an even greater level, at which point KidsTalk Foundation was founded in 1997, focused on helping struggling youth all over the world. Recently, KidsTalk Foundation took on a project in which 1,000 orphans in Africa (Kenya) are being served.
KidsTalk supports three camps in Nambale, Bunyore & Kakamega, Kenya, East Africa. The student population consists of orphaned or extremely destitute children who would otherwise be unable to receive an education or medication. KidsTalk is also sponsoring nine students to attend high school, in Africa the children have to pay to go to high school, they are very expensive and, as orphans, these students don’t have the financial means to attend. Ninon’s work has also taken her internationally to Geneva, Peru, Columbia and Africa, Ninon's dream is to cover the world and give the youth a voice in society throughout the world.
KidsTalk®, TV show, Voices of Tomorrow has an amazing Twist! Unlike the traditional talk show circuit formats of today. We take “The Positive Approach”; none of the youth are pre interviewed, this giving our precious youth an uplifting experience that becomes our future leaders of tomorrow. Celebrating its fourteenth year, the highly acclaimed KidsTalk, is now nationally known and has garnered the Los Angeles Business Journal Award, Davey Award, Presidents Award, The Gracie Allen Award, twenty two (22) “Telly Awards” bringing the total number of accolades the show has received to one hundred and two (102) awards! We will continue the mission in serving our youth in every capacity.
Ninon continues with her gift in helping our youth prosper by simply just listening to them, reinforcing their career and dreams. Ninon's most recent venture will be motivational speaking, "NinonSpeaks" empowering others on her experience of how she did it her way and how you can do it your way. As Ninon always says, “there are no walls. We put them up ourselves, so therefore we must take them down and move forward.”
Ninon and her new found energy! Has become an author and written a book “Joyful Volunteering” with two other authors, this book has amazing stories on volunteering and how to volunteer. Last but not least, Ninon is going to write her own book that she would like to make into a movie. After realizing she has danced down the isle in many countries and truly done it her way, feels she would like to share her life with others. Now! Ninon, has to find a writer to her liking, this is not that easy since she has to have confidence into whom she is going to tell the stories too. The name of the book “NINON” This is a must, as Ninon asked! Should I say it all, the vote is YES!
